Walmart Updates Recall: Customers Warned to ‘Immediately Stop’ Using Products
(KMDL-FM) Walmart stores across Louisiana and the nation have issued an urgent plea for customers to stop using two items that have been sold at the giant retailer in the past. The major issue with both products is consumer safety. In fact, the store has taken the step to encourage consumers who have the products to stop using them immediately.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the safety warnings last week. One of the products in question is designed specifically for use by children. The other product is often used by families. So there is a significant risk in using either of these products.

It has been a very busy year for recalls at many retailers. Walmart has faced recalls on everything from Chicken Alfredo and Chicken Broth to power banks, decorative lights, and bedroom furniture. The store does keep a running list of current recalls and the status of those recalls on its website.
That way, if you are unsure if a product is safe for use, you can always check it against the list. It's also not a bad idea to check the list after Christmas to make sure that no gifts that could have been purchased before a recall was announced have found their way into your home.
Walmart Recalls Camping Stove Over Fire, Explosion Concerns
The first of the two major recalls for Walmart products this week is the Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stove. A recall has been issued because of reports that the stoves can explode or start fires.
The camping stoves have been available via Walmart since March 2023 through October 2025. The price for the product ranged anywhere from $8 to $45. If you have this stove, you are encouraged to stop using it immediately.
Children's Bike Helmet Sold at Walmart Recalled - Failed Safety Tests
The other item on the Walmart Recall List this week is a children's bicycle safety helmet. The Outdoor Master branded children's and youth helmets were sold online via Walmart from June 2024 through February 2025. The helmets sold for $20 to $32 each.
The issue with the helmets is that they failed to meet basic safety standards. This could expose children and other users to the risk of serious injury or death in a crash. If you have this product, you are encouraged to stop using it immediately.
In each case, the recalled merchandise can be returned to your local Walmart store for a refund or a replacement item. If you'd like to know more about Walmart's Return Policy, that information is available online.
