Tomé Announces Major Relocation to Old Schlotzsky’s in Nacogdoches
In June I posted an article about some apparent movement at the former Schlotzsky's location in Nacogdoches. I had noticed that the "For Lease" sign had been taken down. Since then, more movement has been taking place, including renovations on the inside and a completely redone parking lot. Now, I finally got an answer about what is moving in there.
Tomé is Moving into the Old Schlotzsky's Location in Nacogdoches
Most people around the Nacogdoches and Lufkin area are familiar with the Tomé restaurants. Currently there are three of them. Two in Lufkin, and one in Nacogdoches. The newest location was opened on the loop in Lufkin back in January. Now, there's a change coming for the Nacogdoches location.
They will be moving from their current space at 5105 North Street into 2608 North Street, where Schlotzsky's was. I found out about it when I drove by the location and saw a "Coming Soon" banner hanging out front. Take a look:

They have also confirmed it with numerous posts and videos on the Tomé Facebook page.

So, their list of stores - after October 1st - will look like this:
- Tomé Lufkin Downtown - 206 East Groesbeck Avenue
- Tomé 3.0 - 1018 South John Redditt Drive
- Tomé Nacogdoches - 2608 North Street (Again, AFTER October 1st)
The other cool feature about the new Nacogdoches location is that customers will have the option to eat at the indoor dining area, or they can get their meal in the drive-through if they're in a hurry.
This is a pretty cool move for Tomé, and it looks like a win for the people of Nacogdoches, too.
