Your Guide to Easter Weekend in Lufkin & Nacogdoches: Hunts, Food & Fun

You would have to clone yourself to do everything going on in the Lufkin and Nacogdoches area for Easter this weekend. If putting on your Sunday best and attending all of the functions at church isn't enough, let's find out what else there is to do.

One of my favorite local family businesses, the Skate Ranch, in Lufkin is having a Good Friday Skate on April 18, 2025, from 12 noon - 3 pm.  Just $6 to get in, and $4 to rent skates if you need them.

I recently did a live remote there, and they are all such nice, genuine people trying to keep skating alive in Deep East Texas. Support them anytime you can, or one day we will lament on Facebook about how we used to skate in Lufkin, just like we used to bowl.

Easter Egg Hunts In Lufkin, Hudson, And Nacogdoches

If you are looking for Easter Egg Hunts, there are many to choose from. This Saturday, starting at 10 A.M., we are just full to burstin' with places for your kids to find oblong plastic eggs.

Lufkin Parks & Recreation's free hunt will be epic this year with a venue change, free food, and 14,000 eggs. Hijinx Trampoline Park will have an Easter Egg Hunt around the same time.

Easter in the Park in Nacogdoches is Saturday at 11 A.M. at Old Orchard Park. They have an Egg Hunt, free hamburgers, and 10,000 eggs.

Crown Colony County Club is having the Easter Hop for members on Saturday, also starting at 11 AM. You might win the Easter bonnet contest while you enjoy a pasta buffet, so make your reservations now.
