Winning $100,000 Texas Lottery Scratch Off Ticket Sold in Hemphill
September 19 was Talk Like A Pirate Day, Butterscotch Pudding Day, and for a Texas Lottery scratch-off player in the small town of Hemphill, Texas, a big-time payday.
Bonus Break The Bank Jackpot Winners
The Bonus Break the Bank scratch-off is a $5 game that features a total of ten top payouts of $100,000. The game was introduced in early July 2025, and two of those top jackpots have been claimed. A store in North Richland Hills, near Dallas, sold the first $100,000 winner, and just over a week ago, the second jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Hemphill.
The Hemphill Fuel Stop (Valero) located at 643 Sabine Street sold the winning $100,000 game piece. Texas Lottery officials have yet to release any information on the winner. The odds of winning one of the top payouts in this game are approximately 1 in 2 million.

Which Scratch-Off Has The Best Odds of Winning Big?
The $20 Colossal Cash scratch-off game, by far, has the best odds of winning a top payout. This game features fifty top jackpots of $50,000, twenty-three of which have been claimed. Only two of those winning tickets were sold in East Texas, one in Lonestar (near Gilmer), and the other in Center in Shelby County.
Given the most recent data posted on the Texas Lottery's website, the approximate odds of winning one of the remaining twenty-seven top jackpots are 1 in 115,000. Those are some slim chances, but definitely much better than almost every other scratch-off game.
